Discover National Trails Day at Anne Springs Close Greenway
Mark your calendars! On Saturday, June 7, 2025, Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, South Carolina, invites the community to celebrate National Trails Day. This year is particularly special as it coincides with the Greenway’s 30th anniversary. Enjoy free access from 7 a.m. until sunset and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.
Unleash Your Adventurous Spirit
This Open Access Day offers perfect opportunities to explore the stunning 40-mile trail system. Visitors can hike, run, bike, paddle, or horseback ride—all while contributing to the goal of logging 1,200 miles collectively. Each participant can track their miles, and the more you move, the better the rewards! Logged miles can earn discounts on an annual family membership, making this a great time for families to engage with nature.
Engaging Activities for Everyone
The day is packed with activities! At 10 a.m., attendees can join the Trailkeepers Volunteer Orientation, providing a chance to connect with fellow nature lovers. Additionally, a DIY Trail Mix Station will be available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.—perfect for fueling up after a morning of outdoor fun. For those interested in mountain biking, clinics for various skill levels will run throughout the day. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, there’s something for everyone.
Guided and Self-Guided Hikes
Join a guided Blue Star hike at 8 a.m. or embark on a self-guided adventure with marked trails and staffed educational stations from 10:30 a.m. to noon. A few popular trails include the Haigler Loop (2 miles round trip), and the route from Greenway Gateway to the Steele Creek Swinging Bridge (0.5 miles).
