The GospelSHOUT concert is making its grand return to the United House of Prayer for All People, located at 2321 Beatties Ford Road, on April 8, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. This celebrated annual event, which is completely free to attend, invites the community to experience the unique sound of trombone-led shout bands and the uplifting performances of gospel choirs.

For those unfamiliar, the Unique sound of GospelSHOUT is deeply rooted in the local culture of Charlotte. Beginning at 6 p.m., attendees can treat themselves to a soul food dinner for only $15 before diving into an evening of soulful music. With performances from the renowned Bailey Clouds of Heaven shout band, the Bailey Golden Angels Choir, and the Bailey Stringband, the concert promises a rich, immersive musical experience. The energy of trombone shout bands is something that’s best understood in person—an intense rhythm that embodies the spirit and soul of the community.

Shout bands are an original creation from the United House of Prayer, handed down through generations.
